Purple Butterfly Crochet Hanging

The wings are worked in an open shell stitch, so light passes through them — which is what makes this one work hanging in a window rather than flat against a wall. A white bow is tied at the body where the wings meet.

Two vines trail from the sides, one in purple and one in white, each dotted with small crocheted blossoms worked directly onto the cord.

Hangs from a car mirror, a window latch, a bedpost or a door handle.
